Dating Without Drama Book Review – Honest and Unbiased
"Dating Without Drama" would not pass the test. Dating Without Drama Book is a mediocre in my opinion dating advice book to say the least. I am not impressed at all. As a dating and relationship coach and someone who reviews dating and relationship books on a daily basis, I recently came across Dating Without Drama Book by Paige Parker. As a long time subscriber for various dating and relationship advice newsletters I review and recommend handpicked dating and relationship books. I must say, that as someone highly experienced in the dating and relationship topic especially when it comes to online dating and dating advice for women, I have read numerous books including downloadable e-books on the subject of dating. Paige Parker sends out periodic newsletters called “Dating Without Drama” Dish. Those “Dishes” come regularly and they are fun to scan through. They seem to be written for women who don’t know how to date, have just reached puberty or have been living in a cave up until now. The book itself is pretty useless, as it is nothing new to anybody. The chapters of Dating Without Drama cover the mundane subjects such as building healthy self-esteem, and working on yourself, building a complete life for yourself before you decide to jump in the sack, etc. Then again, there is a rundown of places to meet men, an extensive list of dating site, dating site comparison and dating site reviews, which you can find anywhere on the Internet without paying Paige Parker close to $25 for her Dating Without Drama Book, and without going through Dating Without Drama Download process.
The chapters of Dating Without Drama following the dating site reviews rundown tell you very basic things that don’t even scratch the surface of the secrets of meeting and dating men with a great success.
Generally, Dating Without Drama gives you pretty obvious dating advice that you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to know on your own. If you go to Barns and Noble, or any other book store, you will find thousands of self-help and self-improvement books that will teach you exactly that, how to build self-esteem, maintain your self-worth and other similar things. Again, the concept of “mysterious” woman, AKA a woman who plays games as we are all familiar with from national bestsellers such as The Rules, have been once again introduced in Dating Without Drama. Again, nothing new. And as far as the game playing concepts of The Rules along with Dating Without Drama, I would rather go with The New Rules, a book that contradicts the concept of being “mysterious”, playing hard to get, and generally a game playing liar. You need to understand that playing games and intentionally missing your boyfriend’s calls, while watching a movie on a DVD with a bag of popcorn is not the way to build a healthy relationship with a man you love. A relationship should not in any way be based on games; rather it should be based on honest introduction of one’s individual character traits.
One thing that I agree with Dating Without Drama is not making emotional decisions, or emotion-driven decisions. Why do I agree with that? That comes from personal experience. For instance, my boyfriend tells me I change my mind frequently, thus putting him through an unbelievable emotional roller coaster. I agree, a woman’s first response to an event is emotional. However, when the reasoning kicks in sometime later, a decision impacted by exercising and the use of one’s common sense overpowers the emotional response. Thus, it is advisable to take your time to think about your response to a certain action, proposal and introduction of thoughts. For instance, a guy you are dating may ask you to join him in some exciting event. Your first emotional response may be, “Great! Let’s do it.” But then you sit down and thing, do I really want to spend my Sunday going with him to a game or would I rather go shopping with the girls? If that is your thought process and you later inform your boyfriend of your decision, or you changing your mind, he may very well get upset. There comes the drama that we have been trying so hard to avoid.
That’s as far as Dating Without Drama Book. As you can see, I personally do not recommend it but to each their own. If you feel that you need elementary school of dating, go on Paige Parker’s website and download Dating Without Drama. I am not sure what the website address is but I am confident that a simple search for “Dating Without Drama” will produce you thousands of results leading you to the download page. Before you go to Dating Without Drama website think about what dating means to you. And here is a short intercept from Dating Without Drama, “When I say the word “dating”, what comes to mind? If easy, fun, lighthearted, great conversations, flowers, romance, more great guys than I can possible handle, my every need is fulfilled…” are the first words to pop into your head, you might want to return this book for a refund right now.” I really thought that Paige “had me at hello”. This is exactly what comes to mind when I say the word “dating”. And how could it be different? Especially when online dating has made it so easy for us to meet great men. Ok, dating is, lots of dinner dates at fine restaurants with great educated and intelligent men such as doctors, lawyers, business owners and high profile executives, etc. My phone ringing off the hook. Flowers get sent to my place. A limo picking me up, etc.
How is Paige Parker and what qualifies her to write about dating and relationships? Paige Parker’s book, as noted in the book itself is advice and for entertainment purposes only and is based on her personal dating experience. According to Paige Parker, she restlessly dated without success until she read enough dating and relationship advice books that empowered her to become drama-free. Then she wrote Dating Without Drama. That’s the crux of it.

I copletely agree with your review. I bought dating without drama and was really really dissapointed. I read lots of dating books and this book is not worth all the hype. I think dating without drama is popular just cause it is advertized on every corner, but honestly you can get a way better book on dating at any book store. Even read Cosmo articles that are better quality advice for dating. Page Parker just goes on and on about all the same stuff that everyone already knows. Which dating site to pick and dating sites comparison..... WTF??? Is this what I paid for??? I find this book completely worthless and a waste of money!!! ReplyDeleteThere are sure a lot of promises when you go to datingwithoutdrama.com after you take the quiz and go to main page where it says you can actually download it free and read for thirty days and then return it but do you have to pay for it and then ask for refund it you don’t like it or do you just download it for free and then get the bill? That’s what I am not clear on is it free download? And if you have to pay I wonder how do you return it and if anyone actually had any success returning it and getting your money back. Can anyone actually tell me if it’s for real or fraud? thx
ReplyDeleteI read a book "Women Men Adore" by Bob Grant and after I read it I totally changed my perspective on dating. It was a great help and I think out of everything that's out there, this book is by far the best advice to women. After I read it, I don't need to know anything else. It covers all the bases. What's good about this book is that it is written by a professional relationship doctor and not some self-proclaimed dating coach. Get "women men adore and never want to leave" if you are serious about improving your dating life!
